Gallery: This time it is ASUS' turn to show off a brand new X79 motherboard from its TUF range.

As is the way with the launch of impending Intel platforms, there is a lot we can and can't say about the X79 just yet. But we have been able to take some photographs of the motherboards themselves, which tell a lot about what to expect from what Intel is calling the "Intel Core i7 Processor Family for the LGA 2011 Socket".

The latest motherboard to hit the labs is ASUS' X79 Sabertooth model. With an insane eight DIMM slots and a neatly shrouded I/O backplane and power circuitry, this is one of the more distinctive looking motherboards out there.

As for the rest of the features, we say that a picture tells a thousand words and in this case its true. We may not be able to tell you about the specifics, but astute observers will notice a few very interesting things about the technology on the board.
