Gallery: Here's the last of the GIGABYTE X79 boards we spotted on a recent jaunt to Taiwan - the UD5 and UD3 mobos.
Well, here they are - the last batch of pics of GIGABYTE's upcoming Socket 2011 boards, sporting the new X79 chipset, and ready and raring to go with the upcoming Sandy Bridge E chip.
Damn... that's a lot of new tech just around the corner!
These boards are the UD5 and the UD3 respectively, and we're figuring they're going to be much more the speed for most Atomicans following the rather mixed reception of the higher-end Sniper and UD7 boards. These too feature all-digital PWMs, and while the UD5 sports only three PCIe slots, it does boast a mess of RAM slots - this is real workstation board.
The UD3, however, features the full four PCIe slots. This could be a solid budget gaming option, but we'll know more when we start getting in our own samples for testing. Hopefully next week... for now, check out our gallery.
