It looks like it's official - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now. And, of places, it seems to be Target that's broken the street date first.
It's on twitter (thanks PointZeroOne), so it must be real. Target stores around Sydney and Melbourne are selling The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim now. And, according to on report on Aussie Gamer, EB will follow suit from 3pm today.
We just got off the phone with EB Games in North Sydney, and they have no plans to break it - yet. Apparently, though, if "it's shown to be the case that competitors are selling it (hint hint)", then EB can makes a case to Bethesda and go nuts. "But that's up to head office," the salesman told us. We figure the hint-hint part is in case we could prove that competitors are selling it, in which case a copy of a receipt could be sent up to head office.
Breaking street date is, in some cases it appears, kinda complex.
The salesman we spoke to did confirm, though, that if it is going to be broken, it'll be around 2 or 3pm today. So - can any Atomican confirm it's hit the wild?
