I had a terrifying scare the other idea while switching from my old PC to a brand new system. I was going through files and backups, making sure important stuff like game saves, DnD campaign notes, Sigur Ros videos and my pr0n collection were all safe, and then I noticed something.
Where the frack was my Mass Effect 2 save game?!
If you want to understand true fear (and, yes, even some loathing, of the self variety), imagine how you'd feel if arguably the most important save game any of us have in our collection where to disappear.
Gah.
Long story short, though, it appears that in my zealousness to make sure it didn't get lost/deleted/whatever I'd backed it up to a secure location that I had then entirely forgotten about. So, thankfully, you can all relax.
