Competition: Atomic, Monash and Intel have joined forces to offer first-year students the chance to win a very attractive prize.
A good education is worth more than many would admit, and you'll find no better education for Information Technology than at Monash University in Melbourne.
As recognition of their IT prowess, Atomic and Intel have both joined Monash University's Faculty of Information Technology in offering an exclusive competition to first-year students who begin their studies in 2012.
The total prize pool is valued at a whopping $5000, and will be awarded to one lucky student, giving them a powerful desktop PC for studies at home, and an ultra-portable laptop for stints in the Monash library and lecture halls. Or Melbourne's array of swanky cafés.
To enter this competition, just tell us the role you think IT will play in the future of education, entries close April 1 2012.
Entries can take the form of a video (upload to YouTube and submit the URL), an audio file (preferably small enough to be emailed) or a written presentation. Each will be evaluated by experts from Intel, Monash and Atomic, and the winning student awarded the prize.
We'll also give the winner the opportunity to post blogs about their university experience on the Atomic site, to give some insight into the life of a modern-day (and well-equipped) uni student.
Up for grabs is:
1 ASUS Ultrabook, valued at $1500
1 Desktop system, valued at $1500
1 Wireless Broadband Dongle with 1 year service, valued at $1000
1 Co-op Book Voucher, valued at $1000
