Essential linkage: Feel like some epic, game-inspired classical music? Our sister-title, Limelight, has got you covered.
One thing that can really lift a game from good to great is its music, but it's something that is often overlooked compared to, say, frame rates and amount of gibbing you can indulge in. But think about it for a moment - would a game like Halo be as epic without that stunning score, or a Final Fantasy, or even a stripped back game like Echochrome?
Our pals over at Limelight, Haymarket's classical music magazine, have compiled a tops little list of some of their favourite game music, and they'd love to see what some hardcore gamers think. So follow the link, have a read and a listen, and be sure to let them know.
And while we're on it, what are Atomic's favourite gaming themes? Personally, I'm thoroughly tied - it's got to be either Halo or Mass Effect, and I seriously cannot choose between them!
