Trailer: The launch trailer for Rainbow Six: Patriots is out and it continues to deliver the hard men, doing hard things.
I'll say one thing about all the Rainbow Six: Patriots footage released so far: Ubisoft and the game's devs are really not pulling any punches.
We've seen borderline torture, the shooting (non-fatal) of police officers by friendly troops, forced suicide bombings, and more. And in the launch trailer, which pretty much declares the mission statement of the apparent bad-guys in the game, it appears Tom Clancy and his gang are drawing on tense modern politics to drive the plot of the new game.
In fact, it can pretty much be summed up as Occupy Wall Street with military training and firearms. It seems the New Partiots are tired of corporate American and the few who control the many (they may as well come out and just have the NP gunmen say 'we are the 99%!'.
BANG!
If this level of political commentary can be carried off, the game's going to be seriously interesting. What do you guys think of the trailer?
