Gallery: 2K Games has just shared the first screens from the XCOM reboot, Enemy Unknown. And they look tops.

Please be good.

That's pretty much the mantra of XCOM fans following last week's news that Firaxis games is working in a 'reimagining' of the classic strategy game that pits plucky human defenders against an insidious alien invasion. Now, continuing what is likely to be a barrage of media presence, 2K has released the first screens from the game.

And we like what we see.

They each show off a different aspect of the game, too. We get to see what looks like a squad of soldiers getting ready for a mission in Mission Control, and an overview of what looks to be a very modular HQ, perhaps suggesting how the growth of your command center will work in game. And, thankfully, we get to see what looks like some classic action gameplay, complete with movement ranges, unit markers (maybe even a hint of an action point system), as well as how the controls are likely to work on Xbox ('sif you'd play XCOM on anything but PC!).

To see for yourself, check out our pics, and let us know what you think. Is the game starting to look good?
