The next patch for Skyrim, 1.4, is now live and in beta on Steam. Check out what changes, if you opt-in.
To say that the patching and updating of Bethesda's epic (and epically complex) RPG Skyrim has been fraught is to utter an understatement with the cutting power of a FUS RA DOH shouted from on high. However, as negative as we've been about the publisher, I've got to hand it to them.
They've learned.
The latest 1.4 version patch has just gone live, but, uniquely, only in beta form. If you want to get in and see what's fixed, and - more importantly, what might now be broken - you can opt into the patch beta via Steam.
And, of course, if you'd rather not, you can leave well enough alone, and keep collecting dragon bones safe in the knowledge that more dedicated folks are going before you, blazing the trail and hopefully nixing any issues before the patch goes officially live.
Nice one, Bethesda.
Anyhoo, if you're curious, you can read the patch notes here, and learn how to apply the patch here.
