Microsoft reckon its Kings Cross Halo 2 billboard is historic.

Microsoft was stoked with itself when it bought the adspace at the entrance to Sydney's Kings Cross.

The undeniably iconic Sydney landmark was occupied solely by a massive Coke sign for the previous 30 years. Microsoft managed to get a Halo 2 billboard there, in exchange, no doubt, for a small fortune.

Now it's selling the billboard. In 8 seperate large chunks. The proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation, which we reckon is terrific, but wonder just who will want to buy an 8th of a billboard?

The prize eighth is obviously the bit with Master Chief's head. Or groin bulge. Each bit will come with a commemorative plaque signed by the team at Bungie.
