Shop Atomic. It rhymes with Shopaholic. Friday, 2nd December 2005

Have you heard? Atomic's having an event? Heh. Just kidding. Of course you've heard -- we haven't shut up about it for weeks. Which leads me to today's newsletter, and the last big shout about it until the big day itself.

We've told you all about the games and our special guest speakers, here's a few bonus factoids that deserve some shouting too:

The Gaming LAN is being run by Lambo and his helper Saponification, who are both flying up from Melbourne for Live.

We have an excited winner of our 'Be an Orc for a day' comp. See if you can guess who it is on the day!

Dr Karl has been checking out the Atomic forums over the last couple of days so he knows what to expect from Atomicans!

We have a couple of very interesting results in the Atomic Reader Awards, and the stage antics will be cool fun.

We're having a special auction of computers and gear at the end of the day, with all money
raised going to the Atomic charity of choice - the MS Society of NSW. Bring your credit cards and spend spend spend!

Atomic merchandise is back! We have an all-new t-shirt - and as an option you can have your
forum name printed on it! And... the Atomic Sticker makes its triumphant return! Anyone who buys a shirt gets one free. Sweet.

A program of seminars is now online. Some you need to register for, so go here and click on 'Register Now' even if you've already registered.

We have prizes, oh such amazing prizes:

Microsoft Xbox 360 + games

Sony PSP and 5 games

Intel CPUs and Gigabyte motherboards, bloomin heaps of them

Joytech AV Control Center

ASUS motherboards

MSI MegaPlayer and MegaSticks

Vivendi Universal Games prize pack including Director's Edition of FEAR and WoW timecards

And there's loads more to win on the day! We do hope you can make it along on the day.

In other Atomic news we launched Shop Atomic this week! It's a search engine for prices for tech gear. Use it to find the product you want at the best price. It's fun to use too, and is a very nice way of staying on top of fast moving commodity prices like RAM and CPUs.

There are links to Shop Atomic at the top left and right of the Atomic Home page, or just

Have a great weekend, and bring all your mates to Live, they'll love you for it!

Ben
