Happy 100th issue birthday PC Authority! Friday, 3rd February 2006

In today’s edition of the Atomic newsletter we’re not going to be talking about Atomic at all.

Not when issue 100 of PC Authority is onsale right now!

As you may or may not be aware, PC Authority is the magazine that spawned Atomic. In the olden days when we were a little bitty company we started life publishing PC Authority. The aim was to do a mainstream PC mag, but without the simplistic tone other magazines took. Something serious for serious computer users.

PC Authority was an instant hit. It shook up the Aussie publishing scene and was warmly received by PCers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

PC Authority grew and grew, as did our little company, until we were ready to expand into a new realm of publishing. PCA served the regular everyday user, and off the back of that we launched Atomic for the hardcore enthusiasts. You!

Without PC Authority there would be no Atomic. And we know that many Atomicans also regularly buy PC Authority, as there is much in the world of computing that only PC Authority covers in depth.

We co-exist in perfect harmony. Every month Atomic writers contribute to PC Authority, and vice versa.

The very special 100th issue of PC Authority is on sale now. The cover story is Intel’s power-packed new Duo Core CPU in an exclusive first Australian test.

Happy birthday PCA, we’re proud to call you our sister magazine and we look forward with a happy heart to the exciting days ahead.
