Tweaking is the nature of our game. And our game that so hot right now, is Oblivion.

Ashton’s Optimising Oblivion guide started life as a group email to his gaming mates. Ash, being Ash, was playing with the game’s .ini file soon after playing with the game itself. His discoveries were shared amongst us excitedly, as we struggled to get this incredible game running at max potential.

A couple of days of this passed and the thing had grown into a multi-page epic. It was clearly time to share the tweakage with the rest of the world.

That’s how things often happen around here. While we are journalists that plan and produce a winning mag with care and consideration, half the time we forget that and just run around buzzing about the latest gear and what it can do. Only later to realise – “hey, let’s tell the readers too!”

Judging from the forums many of you are loving Oblivion too, whether on PC or 360, it is truly one of the great games of all time. RPG haters, such as yours truly, have been turned and are now deep in this wonderful world. Now, with Ash’s help, you can get it running a whole lot better than the out-of-box experience.

That’s Atomic.
