We are winners

Last Friday night the Atomic crew fronted up at the Sun Microsystems IT Journo awards evening. Held at the Star City Casino’s Grand Ballroom, the team donned their finest daks, brushed their hair and borrowed their Dad’s work shoes.

The boys were hot, and so was Atomic. For the second time in three years Atomic won the best mag award! Against all comers, your Atomic took the crown for ‘Best Technical Title’. This is a mighty achievement and we’re as proud as we are stoked. This is a very nice reward for all the hard work we put in to make Atomic such a pleasurable thing for you each month. We hope that you can share the good feeling, you should, we do it for you and all this is is recognition of the quality you enjoy.

Elsewhere, the Atomic forums are go go go for activities. Check out almost any thread and there are things to do that range from freakishly funny, to insanely joyous. This week’s free plugs go to the Shutterbug Comp http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=11&t=3292
And the Iron Chef Atomic http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=1&c=1&t=84918

Both show that the stereotypical ‘geek’ is as comfortable creating masterful dishes in the kitchen, as they are making beautiful photographic images. Suck on that, Nerdlinger.

Have a magnificent weekend, whatever you’re doing.

Ben
