Kittens or puppies? Friday, 16th June 2006

The Mighty Ashton has now returned from his Computex expedition with exciting news of tomorrow’s technology today, plus just a little more colour than usual under his sexy man-eyes.

The 5-day event is a marathon showcase attended by all the really cool companies. And by cool, I mean the hardcore Asian PC component manufacturers.

In other words – everything Atomic loves and worships.

This ain’t some namby-pamby Las Vegas CES-style iPodcentric wankorama. No Sir! Computex is down and dirty, grass roots (roots!) straight off the factory floor PC components dressed to thrill. From the ridiculous to the sublime, Computex is where you go to see the latest advances in LED integration in components that have no need whatsoever for LEDs. It is where the art meets engineering dream world of CPU cooling devices breaks new ice. It is where the showgirls veer towards cute and fluffy playthings, rather than foxy and dangerous vixens E3-style. I sure know what I prefer.

Heroically, triumphantly, legendarily – Ashton filed daily reports from his Hotel room in the wee hours after drinking only lemonade all night at the famous fabulous Computex parties, we are sure. The photographs of Ashton dancing on a bar in one of his reports are surely ‘shopped jobs. No doubt there.

Enjoy these reports and more. They are all linked below, plus all the news and stuff we hope you love us for.

Have a remarkable weekend everyone.

Xx

Ben
