Editor's Note

G'day, Justin here taking over for this week's letter.

Apart from declaring mutiny upon the magazine's leader and placing myself at top spot, there's been quite a bit going on around Atomic HQ this week. Dave's not really been usurped (yet), but both he and Designer_Dave are working feverishly on the mag ready to send Issue 104 to the printers next week!

Up in this newsletter first off is the Pentagon's flesh-eating robots - and while the company that produces the little scamps have debunked rumours of their desire for meat they're still fascinating. We take a quick look at what they do, how they work and what they are.

Next up is a list of ten things we want from the next Star Trek film. It covers all the usual suspects (KHAN!), but there's also quite a bit of interesting discussion about it going on that's definitely worth a read as much as the article itself!

Our Tech Journo competition has finally had some finalists drawn, and each of the three lucky contestants will be receiving some tech and a game in the mail. They then fight against each other's reviews, each hoping to nab a spot in the pages of the magazine.

Finally we take a look at Thermaltake's Element G case, an evolutionary rather than revolutionary beast - whether this was a step forwards or backwards is up to you to decide.

There's a lot of other stuff listed below to point out (like the Shattered Horizon game, Prototype vid and Intel's cheap SSDs), so click on to have a read.

-Justin Robinson, Tech Writer
