Can Microsoft's Wireless Sidewinder X8 beat Logitech's G7?

Gaming mice are funny things, and there are two schools of thought - innovate, or update.

Microsoft is the former, with their last Sidewinder X5 Gaming Mouse showing some nifty (if useless or poorly thought out at the time) ideas, and they're set to continue the trend with this mouse.

The Sidewinder X8 Wireless Gaming Mouse is the rodent of choice here, with wireless, BlueTrack tech, 4000dpi from three hot-swappable profiles and replaceable feet.

That BlueTrack tech sounds a little silly, but really it's a blue LED that works in tandem with the standard infrared laser to give a very accurate reading off pretty much any surface - we've tested a desk, a wall, windowed sidepanel, jeans and even a pane of glass!

Head into the gallery to see some more pics and much more info about the mouse, and check out an upcoming mag of Atomic for the full verdict!

Tease article, feature list and not much more :P
So can we buy them here yet? I see StaticIce fails but wondering if anyone has found a retailer with them.

I've read issue 101's review on it, but I've got one question that's not covered. How does the macro button and function work? From what I can see, all you have is one fixed macro button, so does that mean I can't set other buttons (like the two vertical side buttons) to a macro function as well? I currently use the Rapier V1 (thanks Atomic for the review!) and I don't think I can live without that level of customization now.

From memory, that fixed macro button is for on the fly macros, and you can set the others using software. I think...
