Antec's P193 is bloody massive - now with 10% more chrome!

Antec's range of PC cases are pretty special, but while they mostly cater to gamers looking for garish and flashy cases, they also hit the mark with others in the form of the P193.

It's an absolutely massive beast, with gunmetal grey sidepanels, huge amounts of cooling (with plenty of space for more) and room for the latest and greatest tech.

As an evolution of the original P190 case we looked at back in November 2007, the P193 contains a host of smarter features - like the loss of the odd dual-power supply.

There's almost as much to look at with this case as their oddly endearing Skeleton, so head into the gallery of pics to see some more of the huge P193, and keep your eyes peeled for the full review of this case in an upcoming Issue of Atomic.

Nice but I think the P182 is a better looking (more understated?) case, so until the wife comes along and sinks the boot into my current, I won't be upgrading.

I definitely agree with that, the chrome and side bulge really is rather against my preference for a sleek looking case. That said, some will love it to bits, so I'll leave the ultimate decision to DH :)

I came so close to getting one of these but that side fan thing put me off.

Yeah the side fan really kills the looks, it just makes me think of the pop out sections on some caravans.

I like that the PSU doesn't breath dusty air through the bottom of the case, but sits on that little raised platform and breathes filtered air from inside the case. The bottom mounted PSUs always seem a bit close to the floor for me.

The P182 has been mentioned. So. Let's compare.

Differences:
-P193 has grilled 5.25" bays.
-P193 has the huge fan on side of case and a second one on top of the case
-P193 has eSATA instead of Firewire.
-P182 looks way better.
-P182 comes with a fan already mounted between HDD and PSU area

Aaaand.. I'm gonna guess this is >$100 more expensive?

Srsly, being familiar with the P182 (and owning one), there were no differences on the inside that I could spot, except for fans. And the P182 does fine with fans as is.

I'm glad no one is forcing me to buy it =)

In the latest Atomic mag, they state its the Antec P183, yet have photos for the P193...poor proof reading...tsk, tsk.
