GIGABYTE's P55-based motherboard has more phases than matter.

We've seen many-a-board from GIGABYTE, but this board that they've been showing off since Computex is a special one - their first P55-based motherboard.

In many ways this GIGABYTE one trumps ASUS' offering from a short while ago in terms of design, but the SATA 3.0 ports on this design are set to be changed just before launch, keeping this as a work-in-progress.

Three 16x PCIe slots are present (with two only 8x electrically), alongside a curious six DDR3 memory slots (two more than usual) and an astoundingly huge 24-phase power.

The cooling is probably going to be tweaked with the final release, but the Marvell SATA 3.0 chip sits where the Southbridge would usually reside, and plenty of other features here mean the only way to see them in detail is to jump into the gallery of pics.

What are you waiting for? Get in there!

Nope, nothing as yet.

Though the premium ones are set to be more expensive than some X58 boards!
