Antec's cut-down Two Hundred budget case - but is it any good?

Antec have been furiously designing their latest range of cases, churning out so many models that it can be quite confusing as to which one to actually buy.

If you're a gamer after their best, the Twelve Hundred is a great choice, followed by the Nine Hundred, Three Hundred and at the very bottom of the pile - the Two Hundred.

The Antec Two Hundred (not the Antec 200, mind) is constructed mostly from thinner steel, with a decent build quality and a nice range of features when considering the $80 price tag.

Of note is the two exhaust fans (giving negative air-pressure and sucking in dust), the hot-swappable HDD slot at the front of the case and the front meshwork.

Head into the gallery of pics to see more of the Two Hundred, and keep your eyes open for a full review of the case in an upcoming Issue of Atomic.

For a budget case that isn't half bad looking.

It's funny how 5 years ago that would've been be a freaking awesome case - now it's 'good'. I love living in the future.

You *were* living in the future. As of... now, that future has just became a slightly more advanced past. Sorry!

That actually looks really good. I like the internal SATA hotswap idea - about time someone put that otherwise-redundant 3.5" external opening to good use!

but what kind of budget user also needs hotswappable hard drives?

This is probably the best collection of photos I've seen on this case.

The caption for image 2 said there was no dust filter behind the mesh of the front of the case. Actually, there is a filter just behind the mesh; it can be seen in image 16. The filter can be accessed by removing the left side panel to get to the three release clips.

Two fans can be mounted to the plastic frame in front of the HDDs and behind the mesh. The fans will direct filtered air over the HDDs.

brumby92, the hot swap bay can be used for making back-ups which is what I intend to do with it (it will be easier and faster than external HDDs). I also have heard of people using hot swap bays for changing OSs.
