Arctic Cooling's new Freezer 7 Pro revision.

Arctic Cooling manufacture some of the industry's most popular heatsinks - not always for their incredible performance, but becuase they're reliably good when it comes to noise.

Their CPU coolers have stuck to the same Freezer naming scheme for years; both the Freezer 4 and Freezer 64 Pro were quiet designs that were affordable, something that the Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 seems to be doing again.

The Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 comes with a 92mm fan silicon-mounted for vibration dampening, 42 aluminium fins, three heatpipes in the usual U shape and a roughly machined copper base.

Socket compatability is excellent and covers AM2/AM2+/AM3/939, as well as LGA775/1156/1366.

We'll reserve judgement for a review in an upcoming issue of the mag, but jump into the gallery of pics to check this budget 'sink out.

I am always deterred by 'open' frameless designed fans... having a channel force the air down one path (through the heatsink) is always me logical choice. This design might show to be REALLY quite though... Looking forward to the review.

easy fix to the frameless - make a small shroud!

Damn that's well priced! Nice lightweight design. I might actually grab one of these if I can find a local supplier.

AIMBOT, even better is that it doesn't use pushpins to secure on Intel sockets, just a mounting frame that seems quite solid :)
