Another sexy board from ASUS.

ASUS motherboards have been more a fashion statement than simple pieces of PCB of late, and the Maximus III Formula continues this with flair.

Built around the P55 Express chipset it's got plenty of expansion options and a colour scheme that is drop-dead gorgeous, slotting into their Republic of Gamers series.

It's got some fancy new features; a PCIe 1x soundcard, ROG Connect and some other cool additions that help the Maximus III seem interesting (at least on paper).

Thanks to the P55 chip, the Maximus III uses a LGA1156 socket to hook up with Core i7 and Core i5 CPUs with a dual-channel memory capacity over four physical slots.

We've already benched this mobo in the Labs (and written the review!), but because we like to tease you'll have to wait for the next Issue to get to read it - so head into the gallery of pics to check out what this board is like.

This board is Sexy... and shiny. There is absolutely no loss by x8 x8. you would have to be running graphics cards that dont even exist yet.
