We take a look at Zalman's budget Z7 Plus case; does it impress?

Zalman have been manufacturing heatsinks, fans and watercooling gear for years - but what many don't know is that they also manufacture cases, such as the GS1000 (a premium high-end chassis) and the No Noise 500AF case (an even more premium case).

Today though, we're looking at the Zalman Z7 Plus, a very not-premium case that retails for just a shade underneath a hundred bucks.

For that price, it boasts four large cooling fans, decent looks and some other interesting features, and is constructed predominantly from steel and plastic.

SceptreCore Mar 4, 2010 11:52 AM	Im a fan of Zalman products, but that is the most hateful, tacky, flimsical, basic, backwards, loathsome CM690 rip off I have ever seen. Who the hell still wants top mounted PSU's? I think Zalman could make a much better budget case, after all they have had plenty of time to enter that market.
darklife41 Mar 4, 2010 12:40 PM	I couldn't care less about top mounted PSU, but I think Antec 300 beats it for price, looks, and features.
osama_bin_athlon Mar 4, 2010 12:57 PM	I don't think that any of their cases are much good - I had their GS1000, which looked great, but, quickly I grew to hate it, progressively more and more every day that I used it - I replaced it within a few weeks.
