GMC has packed a lot into their X7 case; will it be enough?

GMC have had a history of making pretty interesting cases, bringing us the breakfast-serving R2 Toast and the car-crushing R4 Bulldozer, but today we've got our hands on the X7 X-station.

We're actually not sure exactly what the theming of this case is supposed to suggest (maybe an outer-space drug-peddling colony ship?), but regardless of name there's some interesting stuff going on here.

The X7's fascia is busier than the red light district an hour before the end of the world, with a LCD screen flanked on either side with orange blinkers, plenty of grillework and other interesting things.

In fact it's so busy that you either absolutely love it, or you'll hate it to bits. We're not sure exactly where we stand yet, but once we wrap ourselves around it for a full review in the mag, we'll know for sure.

Pricing seems unavailable on this specific model, with the Lite version listed at $99. We'd guess that this would have a premium price of around $150, though we're yet to confirm.

Until then, jump into the gallery of pics to see the GMC X7 X-Station in action!

I'm really not sure what they think they are offering that is worth that much money. A cm690 can be had for $105

I must concur, this is a not-so-pleasing to the eye design. :$

"does it look like a train station ticket machine to anyone else?"

More like a killer PC case that is going to eat your face while you sleep :P

I'd rather stare at naked old people than look at this train wreck.

LOL did get hit with the ugly stick a few times this beast of a thing.

Pepsi, you might want to go check out the PS3 motion control "tickler" instead, might take your mind of the naked olds ;)

"Victor, you are very unattractive man."

The screen seems to be it's only selling point, and I'd need a dimmer function on that bright biatch, let alone all the other annoying lights.

But, I'm actually thinking that this would be a great case as a base for some artistic case mods. It already looks like a baby battlemech. Though, a very scared little battlemech that other mechs might just mistake as an ammunition cell.
