An impressively built mobo from ASUS.
ASUS are undeniably one motherboard manufacturer who plain refuses to die; they've been around for ages and ages, making some crazy motherboards along the way.
Crazy doesn't always mean good, but the Rampage series of boards have been pretty great (the Rampage II Extreme forms the center of our graphics testrig), and the third board seems set to boost that image higher.
Still based around Intel's X58 chipset with an added NF200 chip from NVIDIA, this board uses the LGA1336 socket and four full-length PCIe 16x lanes for three-way SLI or four-way Crossfire.
On top of that, ASUS engineers have thrown in a Bluetooth module for overclocking (and because everything is better with Bluetooth), voltage measuring, temp monitoring, SATA and USB 3.0, and plenty more.
While we don't know the price of this board yet, we can pretty safely assume it'll be quite expensive; but you do get a lot of stuff. Is that the kind of stuff that you'd actually want?
Well, jump into the gallery of pics to see, and pick up a copy of the mag to hear what we really think.
