Verdict:
A roomy build, but a touch plain so far...

Gallery: Take a gander at - and inside - Cubitek's XL-Tank PC case. It's a roomy aluminium monster.

We love a good case. Hell, even a bad case has a certain charm, and even if you'd rather poke yourself with broken PCB than build into a dodgy case at least it's fun to write about. Thankfully, on first appraisals, the Cubitek XL-Tank is looking more of the former than the latter.

The XL model of the Tank range (there are two others) is pitched at high-end gamers, and comes with all the cooling and room you might want, including the most monstrous of video cards. An added mounting bracket even makes sure these cards are kept super secure.

It's also built in imposing black aluminium, with a mess of other unique build points, like many of panels being secured by tiny hex-nuts, so you can take most of the box apart.

Give it a gander in the gallery and tell us what you think - we'll be including a full review in issue 124.

it's very industrial. does it have a holder for the allan key in a discreet location? becsuse those things are smaller than a trusty screwdriver
what I do like is the extra width for bigger, typicaly, quieter fans.

I still have issues with the front fan rated to about 90cfm and the rear 3 totaling +180cfm (posibly 210) this means you need more filtered fans up front or shit will be sucked in from any and every available hole and crack int he casing. if the front fan is filtered, it's not going to do anythign to reduce dust.
