Built from the same sturdy stuff as the carry-on CD wallet, this more conventional version is still pretty imposing.

It may lack the awesome factor of the luggage-style CD wallet we’ve seen from Slappa, but this disc wallet is still a solid piece of kit.

You can feel the attention to detail in the construction -- everything is stitched together, bar the handle, which is riveted down. It doesn’t buckle, although it did feel as though it was slowly giving way when we started hammering down on the edges with gusto. We doubt you’ll be doing that though.

It holds 240 discs in a one-behind-the-other layout or 120 discs with covers in the front pouch. There’s a nice felt lining on the inside, and on the outside there’s a rubberized PVC material that feels solid, almost leather-ey.

The disc pouches themselves didn’t do a great deal of damage to our test CDs, only leaving a few superficial marks after some frantic scrubbing of a blank CD against the pouch fabric, something that won’t be happening during normal use. If there was sand or grime in the pouches, then you may be in trouble, but that’s unlikely to happen. Unless you take the Slappa to the beach.

And as an added bonus, it would match Batman’s suit nicely.
