Zalman's awkwardly named heatsink - now with more Extreme!

Zalman has a pretty good reputation in the cooling space as being one of the best manufacturers for a heatsink that can manage to keep things cool at a decent (or even quiet) noise level; even managing to create a pretty heatsink in the process.

This CNPS10X Extreme heatsink is a radically different to designs that they've put forth in the past however, taking the traditional tower design and simply applying some Zalman-style tweaks to it.

With a weight of 920g, aluminium fins and a nickel-plated copper base, this heatsink also includes five heatpipes to suck heat away from the CPU - as well as a large 120mm fan and controller to blow it out of the case.

Compatibility ranges for LGA1156/1366/775, as well as AM2, 754, 939 and 940, and should cover pretty much any setup out there.

It's a pretty different change for Zalman, but only testing will see if it's worthy of an upgrade - so for now jump into the gallery of pics to see and read more, then pick up an upcoming Issue of Atomic for the full review!
