User review - Logitech MX Revolution
Logitech MX Revolution

-Highly Customisable
-Ergonomic
-Precise
-Dodgy Build quality
-Buggy software
-Becomes hard to use after only several months of use
When I bought this product, I hit my first snag, the Logitech Setpoint software wouldn't load properly on Vista. The mouse was great, only I couldn't fully customise it and was stuck with Logitech's default settings.
The mouse was still an excellent product though, it was precise and felt so comfortable in the hand. The charger it comes with is convenient meaning you don't need to replace the batteries constantly and the features it had were really good. It has several programmable buttons and two scroll wheels. It even has hyperfast scrolling to scroll through big documents quickly. To change between the two scrolling modes is much easier than Logitech's VX revolution where you need to overturn the mouse to get the right switch.
I was very happy with this mouse until several months of use. After this it became worn out. The hyperfast scrolling wasn't so "hyper". It became sticky as if the rubber had come of its tracks and was holding the scroll wheel back. The buttons also began double clicking when you only single clicked. This is something which you don't expect from a $150 mouse.
In conclusion, this mouse in the short term is an excellent product as long as you don't use Vista (at least until Logitech fixes the bugs in its software). In the long term though, this mouse becomes a problem and for this high price tag, you shouldn't expect it. This is why I find it hard to recommend this product.
