Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Gaming Keyboard

Lots of programable keys, Detachable numpad, Volume and Backlight controls and Cruise control function.
Difficult placing of escape and "F" keys.Media control keys only work with Windows Media Player.
After a while at looking at new keyboards i was almost settled on a replacement for my wireless keyboard and then i laid eyes on Microsoft's new piece of kit. The keyboard itself feels solid and well built and the detachable numpad with my preconcieved thought that it would be flimsy has dumbfounded me with its adhesion power to the main unit. The Keyboard has the usuall array of programable buttons but with the numpad being used for even more programable keys on 2 of the 3 modes. Across the top of the board is dotted with controls for the volume and the keyboards red and green backlighting, the standard media controls, mode selector, ingame marco record function, cruise control option for extended control repition and quicklaunch key to the control software. The only downside to this keyboard is the awkward placement of the escape and "F" keys and that the media control keys cannot be used with any other application than Windows Media Player but beyond these little imperfections there is a great gaming keyboard and a decent bundle with Microsoft throwing in a copy of Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare for good measure. Overall the keyboard has a very good build quality and a good price.
