Decently fast
Well cooled (after re-seating the heat-sink)
Works extremely well with AA and AF enabled
HDMI
2x Dual link DVI
Price
Heat-sink
No DX10.1 Support
I guess i wrote this review a little late, but it deserves a small write up seeing as how happy i am with the product.
The GTX 295 has had little to no troubles powering the latest DX10 games at high detail with modest AA and AF enabled. Since the day of release i have still been waiting for a decent driver revision which can properly utilize both cores and that driver revision has come: 257.21.
I'm not sure why, but i have seen a decent increase across the board with increased frame rates in Bad company 2 and 3D Mark Vantage among others. As well as increased GPU utilization while playing games.
Of course i wouldn't recommend the GTX 295 now unless you managed to find one dirt cheap seeing as it lacks DX11 support, but if I'm not mistaken it's the 3rd fastest card available at this time.
ATI 5970
GTX 480
GTX 295
Although i believe there isn't much between the 480 and the 295.
Overall i won't be replacing my GTX 295 until the need for DX11 is much higher than it is right now.
It was also the first card i have ever owned which had a HDMI out which has been a mega plus when watching HD video from my PC to my TV.
The only problem i came across with my specific card was that the heat-sink was slightly out of alignment causing higher temperatures than expected. I fixed this by taking off the heat-sink and re-seating it with new thermal paste.
Overall a good product.
