Hugh space, well laid out, toolless (for the most part)
A rattle trap, flimsy and ugly
Well mass production has its benefits, you would think cost control primary. Unfortunately, the new Lian-Li PC-V2120 is not cheap but has all the qualities of a highly mass produced carcass.
The side panels are thin, square pieces of aluminum which extend flush with the top of the case. Though the edges are finished, they are still harsh. Tap on the side and it sounds like the bottom panel of a cheap screen door. Both sides are the same. The motherboard tray is equally flimsy, you'll need to be very careful installing the motherboard, especially if you have preinstalled graphics cards and processors.
Even with the added insulation it is far from quiet. The front door panel is always in the way,the bay covers could not have possibly been made any cheaper, (unless they were plastic). The wheels are great, you'll be happy you have them when it is time to locate this monster.
The good news is it holds everything. Ample room for power, cooling, wiring and 10 or more hard drives. So for $400 US you get a bunch of aluminum panels efficiently riveted and screwed together in a way that makes system building a breeze. But don't call it a work of art. It was designed to be easy to build and very profitable for Lian-Li. If this is considered top of the line, there is much room at the top for improvement, IMHO. The next Lian-Li case I buy will be seen in person before I put my money down.
