- Eats Crysis for breakfast, in DX10, at Very High, 8xFSAA, 8xAF.
- P12678 in 3DMark Vantage (probably hindered by my mobo, CPU is a Q6600 @ 3.2GHz). Almost double my 8800GTS' score.
- Included adaptor to suit my aging PSU
- Fits beautifully into my case. (Antec P160)
- Long, black, and sexy looking. A plus for those with case windows.
- Loud and hot.
- ATi Driver Syndrome.
Popped this one in after having used my trusty 8800GTS since March 06. Initially had some trouble getting the thing to "go" properly, there must have been some traces of nVidia drivers left over, as the performance was worse than my 8800. Fresh Windows install fixed that though. It must be noted that I'm still using a 965P-DS3P, so I'm limited to PCI-e v1. I'm not sure how that affects it. Despite this, I'm simply blown away by how effortlessly this card digests games and poops frames at an incredible rate. The brand I bought is Powercolor, and there was no included software. A big surprise, however, was the inclusion of a 6- to 8-pin PCI-e power adaptor. VERY handy, considering my PSU was originally meant for SLI, having two 6-pin PCI-e power plugs.
