What a great day!
Atomic Live 2007 wrapped up in style, with almost 2,000 happy Atomicans passing through the
gates on sunny Saturday. Many stayed all day, sampling all the special treats on offer.
A big Live win were the hundreds of prizes and freebies handed out. The main stage lucky
draw ramped up excitement levels, as did Nvidia's Big Kev handing out thousands of dollars
worth of top-end graphics cards. We don't know exactly how many free caps were thrown into
the air, but it seemed that it was always raining free stuff upon grateful atomicans.
Visitors were dazzled by the vendor stands, displaying exciting tech in a most atomic
style. From high-end cooling to thrilling hydraulic-powered racing sim cockpits. There
was no shortage of cool tech to spend the day drooling over.
On the main stage MC Losty hosted the show, which included the spectacular and exciting
speedbuilding comp (congrats Ben), and the very awesome cosplay comp (congrats Cheeky!).
Sony laid out hilarious rounds of Buzz on the game show set, and through the day special
presentations were made for the crowd by leaders in IT.
Gamers had it good, spectating to the incredible final rounds of the prestigious World
GameMaster Tournament, hosted by Dr Karl and called by the Good Game guys.
Hundreds of players sampled a taste of Auran's amazing Fury, which was shown off at Live
days before being officially released. The Ubisoft Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 LAN
attracted hardcore shooters, with the mil themed stand looking very cool.
Outside the sun was shining, and Atomic's giant inflatable fun machines attracted many,
all keen to dish out some friendly whacking or bungee pointscoring.
Atomic Live has again rewarded all visitors with a joyful and entertaining day, unlike
anything else in games and tech. It is the ultimate annual event for fans of gaming,
cool tech and just taking pride in being a geek!
