Rise of Legends is the new game from Big Huge Games and Microsoft, the successor to the award winning Rise of Nations. It has been 3 years since the release of Rise of Nations and its expansion pack, both receiving awards and critical acclaim from media outlets. Its successor already has a dedicated following, and its new armies, races, storylines, campaigns and multiplayer modes should make it a favorite of gamers for some time.

This is Big Huge Games’ second foray into real time strategy games, but the team is anything but inexperienced. Big Huge Games is headed up by Brian Renoylds of Civilization II fame. The strength of Rise of Legends is due to the history the team has had with their other projects which are almost always original, successful and focused on the real time strategy genre.

Rise of Legends has been developed to wring the maximum possible detail levels out of modern PCs, breaking technical grounds in the process. Rise of Legends is one of the first games to support the Ageia PhysX physics processor. For all this and more, we have chosen to showcase Rise of Legends in our next Atomic Event at the Gold Class Cinemas at Bondi Junction. On the 5th of June we will hold an 8 person Rise of Legends LAN event to determine who walks away with prizes. Expect big huge things from Big Huge Games, Microsoft and Atomic.
